How learning resources and SCORM files are developed, validated, priced and licensed.
Career Calling is committed to providing high-quality educational resources and SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) files for its clients and their students. This policy sets out how resources and SCORM files are developed, pre-validated, customised and contextualised so that they meet regulatory and educational standards.
We emphasise the importance of pre-validation of assessment tools to ensure they are compliant, effective, and adhere to the required educational standards. Clients are encouraged to conduct pre-validation of assessment tools before utilising them with students to ensure they meet specific learning and assessment criteria. The pre-validation must be conducted by the client as an obligation under current regulatory requirements.
a. Initial Development: Our resources are initially developed with a particular state, or specific national requirements, standards, and contexts relevant to that region.
b. Customisation and Contextualisation: We acknowledge that resources may require customisation and contextualisation to be applicable on a national level or for other states. Clients seeking to adapt resources for national use or for a different state must communicate their requirements clearly.
c. The resources must go through pre-validation before being utilised with students to ensure they are compliant and effective for the intended learning outcomes.
a. Pricing: The pricing for resource development and SCORM files will be determined based on the complexity, volume, and specific requirements of the resources to be developed or customised.
b. SCORM File Development: SCORM files, which are developed by external contractors, will be priced separately, and clients will be informed of the costs upfront.
c. Customisation to National Level: Clients requesting the adaptation of resources from a state level (e.g., Victoria) to a national level or a national level to a state level will incur additional costs. This is due to the extensive work involved in ensuring the resources comply with regulatory and legislative standards and are relevant to various contexts across different states.
a. Quotation: A detailed quotation will be provided to clients requesting resource development, customisation, or SCORM file development, outlining the scope of work and associated costs.
b. Payment Schedule: Upon agreement to proceed, a payment schedule will be established, requiring an upfront payment before commencement of work, and subsequent payments to be made as per agreed milestones.
c. Finalisation: Final delivery of resources and SCORM files will be executed upon receipt of the final payment.
a. The client can purchase resources directly from our websites or through other mediums such as invoicing.
b. Under these circumstances the client will receive the developed off-the-shelf product and not a customised product.
All resources and SCORM files developed by Career Calling remain the intellectual property of Career Calling. Clients are granted a license to use the resources for their educational purposes and are not permitted to resell, distribute, or modify the resources without explicit written consent from Career Calling.
We run a review with the client once resource development is complete, and we use that feedback to improve later work.
